Just recieved a call from the editor of Louder.cn.
She asked me for my mix-tape again. And talked about something about void party.
Void is party about underground techno and house. Not only me but also some ones think it's the best music party in Shanghai at the moment.
I started it with Ben Huang, Shanghai_Ultra and Nat together only 2 months ago. Since these days, i still get so excited with it. Coz it's a party only about music and fun.
After good-bye to her, i just remember that a guy from taiwan talked to me about why there were only foreigners at this party about 1 month ago.
Yah, I saw very few Chinese people at my party anyways. I remember there were only 2 Chinese people at the Void party which the Taiwan's guy talked to me.
He's a very good guy with good music knowledge, even much more than mine. He just asked me to do more promotion works on Chinese people.
I said it's hard. It's really hard!
Most of Chinese people who's under 20 or older are still in control from their parents. They shouldn't get back home late even it's still midnight.
Sometimes, i thought about how to promote parties to Chinese people. But finally, got no idea about it.
But it's a really big market in Shanghai now. Most of the students, they can spend hundreds (even thousands) kuai for a pop-star's gig. And spend most of their free-time on watching entertainment news.
On the other hand, Chinese rock is developping with bigger and bigger groups.
Then what should local electro music artists and djs do then?
We don't need that fuckin' top 100 Djs. We don't need make everyone think nightlife is only about drugs. We need more people pay passion on it!
